Dunham Station Haiku #6

On newly hatched birds that live in the corner of our living room wall

Nest of baby birds
Why must you squawk all day long
Go find a nice tree.

Dunham Station Haiku #5

In honor of our last month at our apartment, I will be writing a series of haiku's that detail some of the Dunham Station's most interesting characteristics. There is a retro charm to the place not found in most modern apartment buildings, and it's small enough that Sam and I have nicknames for many of the inhabitants here ("Firefly girl," "crazy guy," and "redneck dad" just to name a few)...it is a bittersweet parting...but mostly just sweet.

Dunham Station Haiku #4

Crazy Guy

Always arranging
Mountains of stuff in your car
While shouting strange things

Dunham Station Haiku #3

Levi

Your dad yells a lot
You smile, wave to me outside
You need a mother

Dunham Station Haiku #2

Birds

Live in our building
Make nests in our window pane
Sound like dinosaurs
